Lynn Miyake, OCDS, is a member of the Discalced Carmelite Secular Order. She lives with her husband in Southern New Mexico. She is a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Formation Programme, Center for Applied Carmelite Spirituality, Oxford, UK, Associate Center of the Pontifical Spirituality Institute (Teresianum), Rome.
Lynn’s Catholic faith, her family, and prayer are the most important aspects of her life. She loves gardening, which inspires many of her blog posts. She serves as a spiritual director, writes articles on spirituality, paints the saints in egg tempera with 23K gold halos, and occasionally plays the folk harp.
